Nagel was 37-0 in both his eighth grade and freshman seasons, winning at 103 and 125 pounds. He was 36-1 as a sophomore at 135 pounds and 41-0 last season at 152 pounds.
Nagel currently is 27-1 at 152 this season and 178-2 in his five-year career.
He is coached by his father, Clay Nagel.
ABeing named to the Dapper Dan team is one of the biggest highlights of his wrestling career, Clay Nagel said. It was huge for him. It's a special honor. When you look at some of the other athletes who have been on these teams, it is quite humbling and exciting.
The Dapper Dan Wrestling Classic, partially funded by UPMC Health System, benefits the Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania.
The Wrestling Classic, dubbed The Rose Bowl of Wrestling, is the premier high school all-star dual meet in the United States.
The preliminary match will feature WPIAL stars going against Minnesota's best at 5:30 p.m. The main event Pennsylvania versus the USA will begin at 7:30 p.m.
